That’s why we stick to PTFE or high-grade stainless steel for the housings. They don’t corrode. They don’t warp. You just get steady heat without wondering if your equipment is melting in the background. The honest trade-off Now, there is a catch. Adding that extra layer of protection means a bit of thermal lag. You won’t get that “instant-on” snap you see with a bare-bulb lamp because the heat has to travel through the sleeve first.
